Drive Sales Brochure

Can I sue over this (revised)?
I gave some pictures I had taken to the sales director of the hotel i work at, told her she could use them for our website only. 5 months later our new brochure came out and she used my photo's for both the cover and inside portion of the brochure without my consent. I then found out she had payed another photographer who happened to be her sister, over $3,000 for 2 days worth of pictures with a digital camera (very low costs) and I never even got a thank you
can I sue over this? I did NOT give permission for them to be used for anything but the website. And she payed over $3,000 to another photographer when 6 of my pictures were used, and 6 of the other photographers pictures used,
I have proof they are mine, i have them still on my hard drive, and there was a verbal contract only, no written contract but it is common knowledge around work that i gave them to her for the only website, so i do have backup
anyone? Thanks
Talk to an intellectual property/patent attorney in your area. You may be able to sue. However, at most the photos are probably only worth $3,000.00 (what the other photographer was paid). You will lose your job over a suit.
