John Deere Series

John Deere Question?
I was thinking of buying a John Deere riding mower to do small jobs around the area this coming summer. Seeing as the 100 series (like the LA105) are all around $1500, would it be better to just buy the cheapest one and maybe take chances with problems and reliability, or to step up to the X300 series and replace the tractor less often. Basically in terms or JD riding mowers, where does the price meet the lifetime of the tractor. Thank you for your time.
If anyone knew, I'd also like to know the difference between the LA105, LA115, LA125, LA135LE etc, and which of them are worth it.
I couldn't tell you the difference. I will say if you buy one, stay away from the Briggs&Stratton engine. If you can, get the Kawasaki engine. B&S engines in the John Deere mowers have not been holding up very well.
