What kind of sales July in France on high label fashion brands?
I'm travelling to France from the 14-23 July.
locations: paris, nice and st tropez
I've heard that on high label french brands (chanel, louis v, chloe, dior, ysl etc)
they have good sales on bags, shoes, jewellery, makeup
what do you guys know about this sales? They obviously don't reduce classic items but how much discount % can items possibly be reduced by
Any stories? input?

The exact dates of the summer sales have not been confirmed yet but are forecast to start on the 20th June for six weeks. Discounts usually start at 20% to one third off, unless they are items that they are discounting as loss leaders or old stock they want to get rid off, in which case they are half-price. They then progressively lower the price depending on how slowly things are moving off the shelves. You will not find a great deal of bargains on make-up or perfumes as these have lasting power.The really cheap prices come last week in July and first week of August, but by then the choice is much more limited.
